Post ich outbreak

Hey there. I recently had ich outbreak that unfortunately took half if my fish. What should I do or be aware of before getting more fish. All parameters are in check now.
 
Unless you took all the fish out, treated them and let the tank go without fish for 76 days it is very likely that you still have the parasite in your system. The remaining fish's immune system is just keeping the parasite in low density. If you add a new fish more often than not the stress of being placed in a new tank will lower that fishes immune system and it will become infected. Ideally you would move all of your fish that a QT tank and treat with copper and allow your tank to run for 76 days without a fish in in to starve the parasite to death. Then QT all new fish before being placed into your tank.
