Post Internal Parasite Wait Time New Fish?

Hi Everyone,

If you remove fish from a tank that had an internal parasite what is the life cycle and how long would I need to wait before adding new fish? I looked and could not find anything beside for ich.

Does anyone now what the life cycle is for a parasite like those that would cause long stringy poops, assuming its not a bacterial infection?

lots of different parasites in the hobby, so lots of different fallow periods. White stringy poop doesn't have to be from an infection
