Post tank-crash nitrates very high

I had to deal with nitrates been at 40 ppm. I vacuum the same bed once a week did a 10% water change and use my power heads to blow off all the detritus or anything on the rocks.

Keep in mind half flow will get any detritus off the upper same bed but not on the lower you literally have to vacuum because it settles,And build up
