Will this skimmer work well for my 40 breeder? It really seems overkill to me. I kinda thought the same thing when I bought the bubble magus curve 5.

I worry about it running idle most of the time. What if I feed constantly? Would that help it run more efficiently?

Upgrading our 55 to a 125 or 150 (waiting for the right tank) and this would be right on time. I would move this to the 180 and put my reef octopus into the 125.
