Potassium Chloride Additions

Randy,
I am making additions with Now-Foods-Potassium-Chloride-Powder and I just realized it also has Magnesium Carbonate as other ingredient, no percentage stated. Can this create a problem in my reef tank? My ICP test reads Potassium at 335 mg/l and I have been raising it slowly.

There won't likely be enough to be any concern. The issue would be an alkalinity rise, so you can watch for that if you want to be cautious.

I just started adding potassium to my 240g once a week as recommended by Brightwell. I added every other day 20ml for the first week. Then slow down to once a week because I am not testing. I am unsure if I should continue with it as two of my perfect sps have rtn while others look very happy. Did I burn them? I know I am getting a lot of polyp extension now.

I do not know if it caused a problem for you, but I would not add potassium unless you have a test that suggest you need it. My tank never depleted in potassium, and there's no inherent reason they should.
