Potassium Chloride

Hello and thanks in advance. I have a batch of KCL, 52% K, 47%CL. Using a Salifert test it would appear that I have roughly 250ppm K in my display. This seams low and I infrequently change water. What would you suggest that would make a solution from 450g of Potassium Chloride that could be dosed to raise say 10 gal 20ppm at a time. Sorry if this seems vague but I am trying to make a solution to dose up to roughly 400ppm. Thanks.

What salt mix are you using? Do you do water changes?

Is this a tank that has been running a while (to assess the likelihood of the result being accurate)?

Thanks for the reply Randy. I do infrequent water changes around 10% a month with Instant Ocean. Tank has been running about a year but much of the rock was transferred from another tank.

I'd be surprised if it is really that low. Double check somehow before boosting it that much.
