What range should potassium be in. I believe 400 is sea water but what’s a high and low for sps?

I do not know for SPS but in my experiences concentration above 550 mg/L can be toxic for both fish and CUC. in my old aquarium my concentrations rise to just above this level - followed by a mass killing of my fish and CUC. However - my corals has never looks as nice as they did with this high levels. I have heard of similar events from other aquarists. I can´t say for sure that it was just the potassium concentrations (and only them) that was responsible for the killings but everything indicate this.

Test kits for potassium are inaccurate at best which can lead to overdosing. I wouldn't worry about it if you're doing regular water changes.

I would however be concerned at low K readings. It will crash your sps if you are not doing regular water changes. South of 350 gets sketchy.
