Oh man watch out! The love this stuff!

This started as 6 polyps in march

I wanna give this a try! I'm having same issues (pale sps) and feed the crap out of tank with no results! Should I stop dosing my kz products and coral frenzy when i start dosing the potassium nitrate?

I wouldn't change anything else if you want to understand the effect of the nitrate alone. :)

^^^ as @Randy Holmes-Farley said, no change.
Pale or pastel is common on SPS with the use of KZ or the zeovit sytem.
Do you do the full system as in running a reactor too?
You might back off a bit on your zeostart as that is removing your N03.
Do you use the zeosnow and/or the zeozyme too?
All these remove No3 and Po4.
Running any other reactors or a fuge?

Not I'm not running full blown zeo . I use coral vitalizer, amino acids, sponge power, and phols extra. And I use coral frenzy couple times a week.Other than that I use over sized skimmer and gfo/carbon reactor.

I have a new tank that is 8 months old. I am finding that the SPS have virtually no growth and lack vivid color. After testing I have found my NO3 to be 0 and PO4 to be 0. I feed heavy and I am battling cyano right now. Any chance this method of dosing Spectracide Stump Remover will help my tank? Will dosing this help control the cyano or make it worse?

It gave me a bit of a diatom bloom, but I assume it will subside in a day or two.

I began this dosing program on Monday in my Zoa garden where both Nitrates and Phosphates have been 0 forever. It is a 20 gallon total system and chaeto grows in the fuge.

I found that 1 ml increased nitrates by 2 ppm in 3 hours. I dosed another 1 ml before bed in Monday. My guess is nitrate would have read 4 ppm if I tested during the night.

After work Tuesday nitrates read 1 ppm. My assumption is 3 ppm of nitrates were consumed in the 24 hour period (1.5 ml of solution). I did a water change and then I dosed 2 ml of solution.

After work Wednesday nitrates read 0.5 ppm. I dosed 2 ml at 6 pm and tested 6 hours later. At that point nitrates read 2 ppm. I then dosed 3 ml before bed.

Today I suspect to go home and nitrates to read 1-2 ppm.

I am finding in my system that nitrates may be consumed faster than in the OP. He has an 80 gallon system and doses 10 ml a day. I have a feeling that I will need about 5 ml daily in my 20 gallon.

Will continue to report. I am excited by this.

No3 will fluctuate and I dose 2.5ml a day now.
Reach the target, test daily and from there you will know your average uptake.
Thanks guys!
I will put up a picture of my tank
