My 450-liter reef tank is mainly based on Maxspect jump level equipment: I have the 6000l/h jump pump, the MJGF4K wavemaker, the MJSK skeemer, the RSX-200 lights (with the wifi controller), and 2kg biospheres in my sump.
In general, I am very happy with the performance and after about 7 months here are some issues that I have:
1. Coming back from a power outage, the skeemer starts to work way to fast before the pump returns the water level in the sump to normal levels resulting in an annoying overflow. So when the power is back I have to be there or run like hell to shut the skeemer.
2. There is only a 10 min shutdown option for the skeemer. Feeding corals require at least half or 1 hr if not more of skeemer shutdown so IMHO this option is useless for most of us. The pump, however, has 10, 20, and 30 min options. Ideally a half, 1, or 2hr skeemer shutdown option would have been much practical.
3. After a power outage I found that the lights turned spontaneously on in the middle of the night !!! Although all channels were supposed to be on 0%. After that, I added 0% to all channels every hour. Sound like a bug.
4. The skeemer opening dial stopped working very after a few months. This is an issue as I need to tinker with it every time I need to adjust the opening to the water level.
