Potential list of inhabitants?

Sorry looks like we were cross posting there for a bit :). I'll add the clowns first then after the cycle is complete.

Obviously i'm going to want to have them in a QT for a few weeks before adding them to my DT. When should I start up the QT (assuming i have to cycle that tank too) and how many gallons is appropriate for it?

I have a basic 20g quarantine which should be plenty for all the fish you are looking to get. You can honestly just cycle it the same time as the main display.

HOB filter..heater..sand...lights.. anything else for the QT? Maybe a hiding place (pvc tube or something)?

Do i quarantine corals & CUC as well? Same length of time?

You won't need to put cuc in the qt. some people put corals in the qt, others don't. Make sure you dip them though. Yes and make sure the fish having hiding spots in the qt.

Very thin layer ofsand not as thick as the display. Just fish need to be qt primarily because of parasites and diseases. I put a small fake brain coral in the qt instead of pvc to make the fish a little happier but not everyone will agree with thatso its up to you. Pvc is fine and easy just don't put to much in you need to be able to watch the fish to know if they're healthy

No sand unless you have a fish that requires it. None on your list do. It's easier to tell if they're eating and pooping properly with a bare bottom.

To cycle the QT, you can use a small bottle of Dr. Tim's One and Only. It's the only one that I trust to work very very quickly and well. For filtration on a fish qt a hang-on-back is perfectly sufficient.

Coral dips kill adults but not eggs. They really REALLY should be quarantined and redipped in a couple of weeks. As for the dip itself, lugol's is more for bacterial infections than pests. Apparently Bayer insecticide works very well against hitchhikers, though I would research further before using it if I were you (mainly because I don't know the proper concentration, etc.)

PVC should be fine for hiding places.
