Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster…!

Just noticed this growing on some of my zoas, would anyone be able to help me ID it? Is it potentially a sponge?
Any advice is appreciated!

I would say sponge I had this on a hammer colony that started choking out the heads and causing them to retract keep an eye on it don't let it get out of control

Wow thanks for the quick reply!
How did you deal with it? Did you do anything to keep on top of it?

I had to pull out the Frags clean toothbrush scrub in a different container or bucket and then clean toothbrush scrub rinse then it back into display just keep an eye on it any little piece that is left over can potentially turn into more so just be diligent with it and keep an eye over the next several weeks

Looks like clatharina sponge and will only spread. Take frag out and place in a container of tank water and carefully pull off with a dental pick or one of these below from Harbor Freight
