Potential stock list

I always enjoy reading stock lists so thought I'd post mine to see if anyone has any comments or suggestions. I have a Waterbox 90.3 (60 gal display, 30 gal sump) 35.4"×19.7"×21.7". Lots of live rock, caves, and subsections for different territories.

I'm not a fan of big fish in small tanks so will be looking for 3" to 4" max size fish. I enjoy groups of the same species (which I know is difficult in the marine context). I'm currently considering (based on availability in Australia):

Current fish which will be moving across:
2 x black and white ocellaris clowns
1 x yellow clown goby
2 x peppermint shrimp (I love these and would love to add more)

Considering a selection out of these:
3 x Barrier reef chromis
3 x Talbots Damsel
4/5 x Yellow/blue assessors
1 x royal gramma (hard to get in Aus)
2 x Azure damsels
2 x Chocolate or twin spot gobies (when tank is more mature)
1 x wrasse (I still need to research these, so far disappearing or pintail fairy wrasse are leading the race)
Blood red fire shrimp
Urchin (need to still research)

Rock boring urchin aka short spine they are fantastic.
Leapords are great at pest control. They will get along with many other wrasses as well.

I agree with leopards. There are many attractive ones to choose from. I have a Vivien. The disappearing wrasse seems to be similar to a mystery and would likely be a bully. Maybe someone that has one can comment. I have the pintail and although he is listed as least aggressive/green category on Hunter's chart, mine chases my flame and vivien. I'm hoping he will settle down. Each fish is different and does not always follow the book. Just something to think about. The assessors will be great.

I would love to include an orchid dottyback or two but I think they would be totally incompatible with the assessors (which are cheaper and easier to get in Aus).

There seems to be conflicting reports on how agressive they are. I could possibly replace the assessors with 3 or 4 orchids but that seems to be a hit or miss approach too.

I'd skip the urchin, they can mow down coraline.

As for a cool none aggressive purple fish go with an orchid dottyback.

You could do two or three firefish. Helfrichi are cool.

If you wanted an open water swimmer a McCoskers wrasse would be cool.

Sounds like a nice stock list. Agree with the thoughts on urchins if you are keeping corals.

I think the small school of Talbots would look nice

Ok so the whole stock list was turned on its hed when I decided to try only do captive bred fish and corals. Captive bred fish are somewhat limited in variety in stock here.

So far I have:
2 x Azure Damsel
Yellow Clown Goby
2 x b&w ocellaris clowns
2 x bangaii cardinals

Captive bred options:
Sunrise dottyback
Orchid dottyback
Mandarin (backorder)
Striped blenny
Canary blenny

I was thinking of going single or a pair of canary blennies with an orchid or sunrise dottyback. Would that be ok for my size tank and which dottyback would people recommend?

Orchid is the most peaceful.

I agree, consensus seems to be Orchid.

Though some have also reported success with the Sunrise and Sankeyi, as well as some rarer species not usually seen.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with an orchid and canary blenny. I think I'll keep it at and not add any more (unless mandarin become available).
