I got my angel on Saturday from my lfs and on monday she started showing velvet. This morning before I went to work I dosed the last few ml to get copper to therapeutic. When i got home from work I noticed my angel wasn't acting normal and saw this white mass on her tail.

I can see the area where the mass is from the other side of her tail aswell but it's not white. Skin just sticks out a bit.

Frequently when a fish is fighting velvet it gets a bacterial infection from the many insertion points. So it's a good idea to dose wide spectrum antibiotics at the first sign of a bacterial infection. Kanaplex, Furan2, NFG (nitrofuracine green powder), Sulfaplex are all wide spectrum antibiotics that are recommended.

Watch for a bacterial infection. If you see any redness it's time to treat for sure. Hard for me to tell much from the pics.

With the amount of bacterial infections we are seeing currently it may be best to just start ABX now, as big g mentioned

@Humblefish @4FordFamily any ideas here.

Looks like lymph but I agree with @Big G and @HotRocks that infections are highly likely — especially when dealing with the back end of velvet.
