Potters Angelfish is swimming NON STOP

I've had this guy for about a week now. He's really good in all aspects. He eat algae off the glass walls, eats nori, eats pellets (lets them sit on the sand and eats one every 5 mins as he zooms by), show absolutely NO AGGRESSION, and is already showing a belly from eating tons. He's NOT shy at all and spends his entire day out and about swimming with his fellow tank mates. He even has stare downs with me when I approach the tank.

The only behavior that looks kinda strange that I'm trying to explain is his constant swimming around. He goes from one end to another constantly grazing for food and pods.

I've tired researching this behavior amongst angelfishes but wasn't able to find anything. Can anyone explain this behavior?

Sounds perfectly normal to me, least every dwarf angel I've had has been all over the tank.

That's pretty normal behavior, with a little territorial behavior from the tang.

The quarreling between the angel and tang are likely the cause of the spastic behavior. Angels typically stay out and pick at the rocks all over the tank so that isnt a big deal but this one is definitely being a little spastic. My coral beauty and yellow tang go at it every once in a while but it is usually the tang the exhibits this behavior vice the angel. My angel takes it frustration out on the anthias, who turns to the chalk bass. Once they've all chased one another into their respective hiding spots, everyone is good for a while (sometimes day, sometimes weeks).

Looks to me like all the fish are stressed out because the YT and the Angel are not getting along. FWIW I would remove the tang. Or somehow put a divider in between them just to see if that helps. If it does help then one of them has to go unless you can tolerate the divider staying in the tank. I don't think changing the rocks around would help.

little different, but I got a pygmy cherub angel. Same behavior. Always on the move. I have a big gramma and a talbot damsel. Some chasing and territory stuff. esp w the talbot cuz well hes a damsel and everyone needs the crazy neighbor you really want to move away.
Its been about three months and the angel is still always on the move and has gotten bigger and now he chases the talbot.
and strangely all of my grumpy pets will be seen floating in a school together for short periods with no problems.

we all still want the talbot to move to the next block, or town.

This video captures what the angel fish does all day.
After watching him more closely, I now see that he's eating the pods and algae off the glass. I can see his mouth kiss the glass quickly and repeatedly. The tang is now doing it more as well.

I have seaweed in the middle of the tank tied to a rock but the only ounces I've seen eat that are the shrimp and blue tang.

If it's new to the tank it doesn't know what that is yet. It's pattern eating and such will slowly change here in the next several weeks. Mine likes the nori but not that's much. Seems to prefer the algae off the glass but eats frozen foods Very well.

Oh ok. Good to know. Is their a difference between nori and seaweed?

No there both kelp. Nori is the stuff at sushi and some are packaged as kelp or fish treat some are an actual thick piece of kelp that's dried for your fish.

That's actually the stuff in your miso soup.

looks like a happy fish to me! A little bit of conflict is normal when introducing new fish, and a pecking order will develop and all will settle down. Trying to never have any fish conflict whatsoever is not a very realistic goal in my opinion. Just don't let it get dangerous or stressful for any one of the fish and its all good I think.
