I've had this guy/gal for nearly 2 years...all my fishes went thru 30~45 Days QT before entering DT
Everyone else looks fine
I feed algae sheets twice a day (in the morning and evening (Green and Red)
Pellets 3 times a day and my DIY froze food which includes garlic and vitamins once a day.
Yesterday the Powder blue was fine and eating!

Think I'm going pull it out into a HT/QT and treat w/ Prazi

Thoughts??

Update...Treated in tank w/Prizpro

From video, fish appears to have ich.
You will need to place fish in Quarantine tank and treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off
A quarantine tank can be as simple as a starter kit from Walmart which most of the needed essentials.

I don't see anything in its history that would lead towards an external parasite - not impossible, but implausible. When did you last add a new fish?

Can you describe the symptoms? From the video I can see the slice in its anal fin, a couple of random spots on its side and *possibly* cloudy eyes. It is full bodied and isn't breathing fast....

Did the slice in the fin precede the issue? If not, I think it tangled with the sailfin and is bumped up a bit.....

It’s just swimming up and down in that one corner of the tank! It almost seems as it’s blind! Male anthia is down on the othercorner of the tank!

additions was a aiptasia eating filefish about 20 days ago from a “trusted” online seller that sales quarantined fish!

O.K., the recent filefish addition and the anthias adds another layer to this: it is breathing way too fast. It also has ripped fins. Somebody in the tank isn’t playing nice. I don’t think it is the primary issue, but it needs to be dealt with.

For the PBT, I doubt it is blind, but to check that, just wave your hand when it swims by, if it reacts, then it isn’t blind. In this last video, I can see more skin issues on it….I can’t rule out some external parasite of some sort.

Not sure where you should go here. Do you have a treatment tank available? What is the full fish list for the tank?

Just those 2!
Everyone else eat and are swimming fine!

3-Blue/Green chrome
2-Clowns
3-anthia (2F/1M)
1-yellow tang
1-clown tang
1-sailfin tang
1-filefish
1-purple dottyback
1-sixline

I can setup a QT/HT tomorrow and have most meds on hand (Copper Power/Prazi/Metro/kana/general cure)

My guess is the sailfin tang being the aggressor.

PBT has a bump on his body is the last video plus a cut on the anal fin. The anthias has torn fins everywhere.

I think you need to use a broad spectrum antibiotic such as aquavitro or nitrofurazone in a QT.

The anthias may be fighting amongst themselves, one of the other tangs (clown?) is probably the culprit on the PBT attack. You may never see it happen, a split second once or twice a day will lead to damage like this and you may not be in the room.

I still worry that there is something else going on aside from this aggression. If it is an external parasite, all of the fish would need to be treated. If it is isolated to just the PBT and the anthias, well, that is unlikely, because if those two fish got it, why not the other anthias and the other tangs?

You could consider prazi in your DT. I don't see compelling evidence that it is flukes (rapid breathing in just one anthias) but at least it is reef safe.

everyone is fine…just these two!
Feed a sheet of algae and they all eat as always except the PBT!
I see nothing on any other fish! All acting normal

setting up the QT/HT tank!

How big is your tank again?

the PB definitely needs to be QT’ed. the anthias needs it to since it either gets beat up or has the same issue as the PB or both.

I suggest to start with a broad spectrum antibiotic bath such as aquavitro, nitrofurazone, or furan2.

PBT and male anthia were pulled and places in a HT w/ Kana and Metro which I had on hand.
Anthia passed away over night. :( I hate losing a fish!

PBT is swimming around but I haven't it seen it eat in a few days.
Will head to my LFS to pick up a bottle of Entice and some live mysis.
I also think it wen blind...I can come up to the HT and I get no reaction.

In the DT: Everyone appears to be fine, heathy and eating [knock on wood].
I see nothing the blue hippo which would be the easiest fish to spot anything on.

Just odd to me that no other fish is sick !!!
