This is Eva, my powder blue tang.

I just noticed her hiding quite a bit about two weeks ago. She didn’t come out much for eating, and then just noticed how thin she had gotten. My other things are extremely fat, and she was. But I noticed you could see the line down her side, and her front of her stomach is sunken in.

I haven’t seen white poop from anyone. I haven’t been able to catch any of them pooping. I lost a blue star leopard dress yesterday, with no signs of infection from what I could tell. But most of her innards we’re gone before I could get her out.

I decided to treat with general cure for the entire tank. I have done to 48 hour treatments of it so far, and I have general cure with focus in their food.

The powder blue has at least come out when I turn the pumps off to feed, which is an improvement, and she is swimming around the food like she wants to eat, but it’s not actually eating.

she munched on some seaweed for the past couple of days, not much, but she did eat some. do I need to take her out and quarantine her? I don’t want to cause her more stress if she is already sick, but I want to make sure that she’s doing OK.

any help is appreciated!

I am sorry to hear of your problems. Did you add anything new recently to your tank? How long has the aquarium been setup for? Is this a reef tank of fish only aquarium?

This tank has been set up for about 2.5-3 years.
started as a reef tank. Changed to FOWLR (have some Kenya trees and pulsing Xenia).
I did add 2 diamond gobys. They are both doing really well. I always - ALWAYS quarantine but I wasn’t set up for QT when I got them during covid and the store was only open one day.

over the past 7 months I have had a few fish mysteriously disappear. No clue why. No signs of illness at all prior. All other fish are healthy and doing well. Clowns even just laid eggs.
