i got the powder blue tang about 2 weeks ago. I did have a yellow tang that was a month established before I got the powder. I know it’s not good and should have been introduced at the same time.
My parameters have stayed consistent with 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 ammonia. My phosphorus was over 200ppb and I got gfo a week ago and phosphorus is now 1ppb. Calcium has stayed 390, magnesium has stayed 1260.
Alk has stayed 8.0 with little fluctuations.
The tank is 4 months old with fish and 1-2 months old coral. My stock is 1 yellow tang 2 clown 1 firefish, 2 green chromis, 1 flame angel, 1 spotted goby, 1 mandarin dragonet.
Last 2 weeks the powder blue tang swam a lot and ate well.
When the powder blue tang was introduced there was aggression from the yellow tang for 24 hours and then they got along fine based on what I saw.
Today I get home from work and the powder blue tang is dead. I took the tang outside and took pictures of both sides because I wanted to see if anyone out there can see a cause of death. Thanks.
