Powder blue tang only eats brine shrimp

Have had him for almost two weeks, watched him eat mysis before taking him home. Picks at nori sheets but not sure he’s eating it. Been trying to feed enriched spirulina brine since I figured that’s easiest.

Any ideas? Just wait til he starts eating other items or pull the brine and make him eat others? Just worry about him not eating since he’s doing well so far.

Is he in quarantine or in general pop? If its not a meds or aggression issue I'd just keep feeding him whatever hes eating while introducing other food into the tank. Its likely he will develop a taste for other foods if you continue to offer a variety on top of what hes currently eating.

He’s in display tank. He’s actually the boss of the tank, lol. Sounds good! He’s doing well and always active, not shy at all.

agreed, it took my powder blue over a month before it would eat anything other than the little bits of nori my trigger fish would chew up and spit out, but that was still plenty for it.

As long as he is eating something he will eventually move to other foods.

Wait, the fish wasn’t quarantined? If that’s the case it may never eat better.

I agree with the offering of other foods and eventually it will give in so long as ich and velvet don’t take over.
