My powder blue tang, along with the rest of my fish, have been in qt for about a day now. I pulled them from the display to treat them for flukes, but I didn't want to chance that it might be ich. Tonight my powder blue tang started showing a dark blotchy spot under his skin, behind his fin, on his left side. It does not seem to be impacting him in any way. What could it be?

I cannot tell anything from the photos :/

Did he possibly get bruised when you caught him?
He could've gotten bruised. He was going absolutely nuts when I was trying to catch him. He has also been squabbling with my yellow tang in the quarantine. It showed up 24 hours after catching him, could that be a sign of bruising?

If he was damaged by you or the YT, bruising could show up hours later. Darks spots can also be: a) dried up blood spots under the skin b) signs of a bacterial infection.

^^ I was about to say that tang fighting can result in lascerations surrounded by a bruise. Any small cut?
