When I was introducing my Powder Brown Tang into my tank, the bag ripped from below and water was steadily streaming out into the tank. I had two choices let it sit there dry on the ground while I run to the basement to get the bucket, dump it out run back upstairs, fill it with the water on the tray which in total would take around 7 minutes, or net it and put it in. What would you have done? I didnt qt the fish because they treat with copper at the store which is also why I was so frantic when copper treated water got into my aquarium (not much of it, everything is fine). He got in the tank, hid in the rocks and was being cleaned by shrimp. Why couldnt this have happened to the clownfish I was also adding..? He seems totally fine right now, he swims around, gets cleaned by the shrimp, and follows the yellow tang I also just added around like a dog. (I have not seen them be aggressive twords eachother.) He has normal breathing, bright colors, hes exploring the tank, and he has been eating the algae and took some of the frozen food. I would have loved to drip acclimate this little guy but its too late. I will give you an update on how hes doing tomorrow. Is it normal for him to be cleaned by the shrimp a lot? One time I saw him swimming around easily with the shrimp cleaning him up.
