Powder Brown Tang injury

My Powder Brown Tang seems to have a cut on his side. It’s maybe half an inch long and I assume that he got into a scuffle with another one of my tangs (although that’s a bit surprising to me because I really see very little aggression in the tank). He’s still active and eating well. Is there anything I can do for him or just give it time to heal?

Yes, that does look like another tang took a whack at it. It doesn't look infected to me. How long ago did it happen? Tangs are really good at healing from this type of injury, it must happen quite a bit in the wild.

Thanks for the reply. I think it happened fairly recently. Within the last 48 hours or so.

I think you can just watch it for now. Enlarging or redness are signs of infection.
