Powder reagents for Hanna Checkers...

I'm using the Hanna Copper checker while quarantining fish, that being said while the hanna checker is very accurate I'm having issues with the powder reagents.

Unlike to Alk (DKH) checker which is liquid the Copper reagent is a powder. Luckily its premeasured in a handy pouch however I'm having the hardest time getting the entire reagent out of the envelope at once.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions to make it easier?

Cut along the dotted line on the packet and then pour from the bottom. Had the same problem.

agreed I like to put a crease in the foil . Hop the pic is clear enough for you

Tap on two sides of the packet so all the powder ends up in the "bottom" corner of the packet (opposite the dotted line). Cut along the dotted line, then pull out the sides of the packet and slightly bend one corner into a spout (kind of like a milk carton).

I use to make a funnel out of foil. But now I just cut off the top and crease the middle and slowly pour it in while tapping. I get over 95% or so in that way and a less than 5% error is not an issue.

I just tried the crease and pour, tested three times got 1.77, 1.80, and 1.95.... 100% confident user error I just have the hardest time with this stuff.

all 3 of those reading are within the accuracy range of the checker itself. 5%+ or -

I have a small funnel. Make sure you tap the funnel near the bottom to get as much as possible. It is a pain.
