Currently have my power heads on the back of the tank but they don't seem to be working out very well way too much flow even at the lowest setting.

I am thinking I should move one on each side of the tank what are your guys's thoughts on that.

Tank is 72x24x30

Thanks

Great question! There are a lot of variables when considering flow including whether or not you have corals, what type of corals, where are they located in the tank, what deflectors like live rock do you have in the tank, and much more. It might be helpful to see a picture of your tank so we can understand the layout, the location of the return, etc. Without having any of this information, I will agree with your original statement that it may be appropriate to move the powerbeads to the sides of the tank - you could put one high toward the back on one side and one low toward the front on the other and see how that effects the flow. Good luck!

Move them around, find what works. I had to play with mine for months until I was happy with the overall flow. I still mobe them a bit and chanhe the setting on the wave controller.
