There are two items I'm currently looking for - either OEM or DIY

1: A siphon solution that has a brush attachment. I would like to brush my rock work while immediately directing the stirred up detritus / algae I scrub off directly into some sort of siphon or pump to be exported (instead of the debris just floating around the tank)

2: a "boom powerhead": Here I am looking for a powerhead that's on some type of boom so I can move any detritus that I might have on the bare bottom to a point where I can siphon it out. Right now, I have some debris collecting under the rocks and can't get to it with a normal siphon hose.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Pics would be awesome (or links to already existing products).

#2, use a powerhead, tubing and a filter sock. Attach filter sock on sump wall or use current overflow filter sock. Put output of tube into filter sock, put tubing on input of pump. Turn on and start sucking detritus.

I did think of that and it doesn't quite work because I can't get the tube to the detritus to pull it out. I'm going to have to push the detritus / debris to a point where I can get to it.

Rigid airline tubing comes in many sizes, you can use heat to bend it to allow you to get into tight spaces and under things.
