I have a 90 gal mixed reef. Decent set up with 2x 96 watt pc lights and a exotic panorama pro led strip. I have some softies and lps doing well but my question is before buying new pc bulbs should I opt for a better light set up? I see so many articles on t5 and led but rarely on pc. Any one out there using pc or have a word for me?

Power Compact lighting is pretty much outdated... It is not very energy efficient and also produces a lot of heat... par measurements are not very good (per watt) either.

That would explain the lack of info I see on them. My tank is fairly updated in equipment looks like the lights are next. Thanks

Yea I would replace the pc's with something else. T5's would be a nice choice

Agree'd, one of the ATI T5 fixtures would be a very nice upgrade! I'm still on the fence with led lighting...
