I just lost power. Hooked up everything to generator and everything works but there is a slight flicker to the LED lights. It’s not a fancy generator so I understand the power may not be as clean as from the utility company. Will this cause damage? I have the cord from the generator plugged into a computer ups to try and level things out but it is still barely visible.

I would unplug the lights. The tank will be just fine without them for up to a few days and it isn't worth the risk of overheating them due to the harmonic distortion from the generator imo.

I'd also add that if you run an Apex or similar computerized controller, it may balk and behave badly with the generator power as well.
