Power filter options

I need filtration and I wanted to start with a power filter. I want one that is Oder reducing and it is for a 30 gal any suggestions?

But I'm doing fish only for now and then doing a reef tank gradually then I will switch over to a sump

Power filter will only cause you problems in long run. They tend to harbour nitrates if you don't clean often. If you are planning on a reef invest in a good skimmer. There are lots of good hob skimmers. I like the remora myself and it does a great job on my 100 without a sump.
 
Oder reducing? Your tank should have no oder. If it does, there are husbandry problems. I'd go with an Eheim or Fluval canister filter. Clean every couple of weeks. Don't use bio-media. Sponges/pads and carbon is all you need.
 
well im going to get a sump and skimmer eventually but i want to start off with a power filter and gradually get a skimmer and sump, so i am looking for a power filter for now
