Power GFO / Carbon Reactor with main return pump

is this common or does it screw up the overflow consistency? Looking to keep temps and power output down as much as possible. My return pump has plenty of power (DC pump) running only at half speed right now, just not sure if this is the norm to do or should i just run a AC pump separate for the reactor. Thanks in advanced.

Lots of people do this. They just have a manifold tee'd into the return line.

That what i thought just didn't know if there was a difference in flow (dirty media) if it would effect over flow flow. So what rector would you recommend for a 139g system, looking for something easy to open up and work with in the sump.

I really only have experience with BRS reactors at this point. They are a bit of a pain to open and close unless you have them fastened to something. Maybe Two Little Fishies reactors? There's a ton of choices out there, but these seem to be somewhat popular.

I have 3 Phosban reactors running from my DC pump. Since you can control how much power it is easy to dial in the power to the overflow. Just make sure that each reactor has its own valve.

R_C lover your setup looks simple and clean which is what i'm after too. Are those black valves apart of the phosban reactor kits ?

Thanks. They should come with them if you buy them new. But if you don't have the valves home depot has them.
