Besides an MP60 is there any other really good power head for that thick of a tank?? Gyre's only go up to 3/4 thickness.....I was debating on Jebao Rw-20 possibly?? Any other ideas?

Jebao and rw-20 wow lol that's a lot of flow like be careful jebaos have so much flow they are known to ruin tanks they can break the stands or the glass

Haha they are definitely strong!!! I have an mp40, a rw 20 and rw 15 on my 180 now, but my new tank is 1 inch thick acrylic and I can't use my mp40 again so I was curious to what else good is out there that could work without putting up $400 or whatever it is for an mp60

Have you actually tried the mp40 on the 1" glass? I have one on my 3/4" glass and I can barely pull it off for cleaning.

No I haven't!!! I don't have the tank yet but I just assumed it wouldn't stay, but if it does that would be big time!

Ecotech says "Aquarium Wall Thickness: 3/16” to 3/4”"

I'd still try it. I imagine it would be possible to find a stronger magnet to go on the outside for a lot less than replacing the pump.

I don't understand how you are going to remove or get a bigger magnet for the dry side? The magnet is part of the motor which turns the propeller on that unit. I have opened one up to try and fix the bearing issue on a MP10.

Good luck here.

Oh ok.. You might want to get a magnetic glass cleaner for that size glass and see if the magnet will hold the pump. That might be the easiest fix.
