I've got an 8 gallon CAD Light tank at work, and the flow from the return pump is decent but I'd love to get a bit more going.

The return pump is a 187 GPH return pump that can open or close for more or less flow. I've probably got it opened almost 75% of the way. The problem is it only aims straight ahead, I've got it rigged a bit so it aims at the top but it doesn't give too much flow to the tank. Are there any power heads out there that would give a more circular flow to the tank so my SPS on the left side are happy? Overall actual display volume is probably 5-6 gallons with the other 3-2 in the sump in the back. Thanks for the help.

Hydor Koralia nano offers lots of tweaking. Flow/direction. 240 Gph.

You'd have to get creative, but if you could rig up a second pump that could have its return on the other side of the back wall and alternate it every few hours with the pump that's in there now and you'd be set for a great little tide simulation, but not lose any in-tank space. Not the easiest solution to pull off, but maybe worth thinking about a little. ;)

Check out the Aqamai (hydor) KPS. Programmable and DC driven so you can scale the flow up or down as you please, along with random and waves
