My question is would it be a bad idea to move the mp40 in the front to the back it seem like I just have a circular flow same all the time I want to make it move random I figure if I put it in the back the 2 will hit and cause some random flow

what is the question? If they are alternating in output I think you are good, if they are both going at the same speed all the time you are going to get a swirl.

I think moving it to the back would be better. The 2 mp40s would oppose each other causing a random style water flow which is better for corals.

Or you could actually move then both towards the center to have random, and yet equal water flow through the whole tank. Equal front and back.

I have the on reef Crest at the moment in anit sync the question was if I would them facing each other in the back would that be bad or just to leave them where they were it's like Nascar in there everything keeps going left

Ya I'll try it out main reason for having the in in the back is to help keep stuff from settling

Lol. Straight away, ohh man left turn......

I have mine in my jbj 45 dead center on each side on reef crest with anti-sync. It creates a nice back and forth and randomness throughout.

You can put them towards the back, or you can put 1 towards the back and the other in the middle, you just dont want them to create a whirlwind effect in the tank, also r u running them at a constant speed, or do they vary. I have 3 IM DC pumps, 2 on one side and a 3rd on the other. I keep 2 dead center and the 3rd smaller one towards the back to keep detritus from settling in the back. I also have them on a variable speed setting, so my water is never constant.

I think you were posting your question as I posted mine. I have a single Nero 5 I got this last week and I have it on random and even in a couple days my corals are looking a lot fuller. Random if you can.

I run them on reef Crest mode right now
