Powerhead(s) placement is one of the most difficult things. It really depends on your tank size, type of pump, coral type, coral placement, and rock structure.
Most people place on the sides and pointed up could be good. If in the middle are you thinking about against the back wall?

I have a fluval evo 13.5 and it’s located on back wall and will flow to left of tank hit side glass wall and back to the front but my corals are mostly mid tier of tank. (Where my power head is) so I was thinking Moving it more to surface pointed up to give it more surface flow and use my return pump flow nozzles pointed down. The pump is the smallest GPH hydor koralia pump
