Power head quantity question

I bought a 1600 gph twin power head should I get another lower gph powerhead? Or can I just angle them in 2 directions? I have a 46 gallon bow front.

It could work, but I would just watch and make sure that the fish or coral are not being blown around by it.

That comes out at a 32X turnover. You should be fine as long as you are not blasting something. I run my tank at about 50X turnover for an SPS dominant tank. I understand that some SPS aquaculture systems run at around 100X. And in my scuba diving, I have seen reefs that have 1000X turnover and higher.

But it depends on the system. Soft corals tend to like less flow. But I have found my LPS corals do fine in my tank.
