So I had 2 of these in my 55 gal and they're extremely powerful. I took one out and put in new frag tank 30 gal and my corals look like they're going through a hurricane and anemone got sucked in this morning, smh it's OK for now. My question is how can I soften the flow? At the lowest setting it's pushing like 1100 gph. My boyfriend picked these out and I don't want to have to buy more, I have so much equipment and stuff around the house I want to use what I have. I have a castle I can put in front to block the flow a little haha I just need opinions please.
Ps it's not blowing the sand around, I just dumped it that way

I put some filtering material around the powerhead, like nylon stockings, to keep out nems and small critters. It also cut down the flow as it restricted the intake.

I did this with some mesh netting and it built up so much gunk I think it made nitrates high. I may have just fixed it by pointing it up and leaning a rock against it.

That is the downside.
