Power heads spinning the wrong way!

So I've noticed my power heads, one Koralia, one maxi jet, and one coral life sometimes spin on the wrong direction. Today my new baby tang got sucked against the front of a power head because it was spinning the wrong way. I am going to upgrade to all jebao controlled power heads. Will this prevent this? My poor tang I'm devastated

Is this all of them that occasionally spin the wrong way or just one of them?

I've noticed this for years. Koralia attempted to correct this by putting a rubber nub on the inside section of the front cover but this wears out over time. I have never seen any DC powered pump start backwards so answer to your question regarding Jebaos is yes, it will not start in reverse.

+1 on the Koralias spinning backwards, one of mine started to do this after about a year of use. Also I have had good luck with the Jebao's they do not spin backwards.

All AC current pumps will start in either direction since it's an alternating current. This issue can be solved by changing to DC pumps. I've had it happen before, it's a little scary!
