I am looking for a couple power heads for my 40 gallon tank.

What I am trying to find are power heads that are held onto the glass by magnets and the outside of the tank has the cord. I would like to get any cords out of my tank to prevent my fish from chewing in them.

Is there a brand that I can look for that is inexpensive or does anyone have a different suggestion? Or anything for sale that would help me with this? Thank you

Thanks Going to start looking now

Also do you think to protect what I have now just using cord wrap would be wise?

I have tunze pumps, and have had them for years. I'm not sure what you are talking about when you say fish chewing on the cords. In my reef, the fish will peck at anything that has algae on them including the cords. There is no harm done....at least in my experience. I don't think there is anything to worry about in a reef. Not sure if you have some super aggressive aquarium with huge fish. My rabbit fish is the biggest I have and he is about 10 inches or so .

Ive never heard of fish chewing cords. If thats your only concern with cords, i wouldnt worry about it. In my 30 gallon, i have one vortech mp10, and one of these knockoff brand pumps from amazon, which is attached to the glass by magnet. I like this pump because it is exactly like the old style koralia pumps. Good price too. Heres the amazon listing, and heres what mine looks like in my tank.

Those are like the existing ones I have.

As for the chewing of cords I have a puffer and a trigger.

I have had puffers and triggers eat silicone off tanks and artificial reefs, so cords i wouldnt doubt it.
