Ok everyone i need so advise on what size and type of power heads i need for my 45gal. bow front tank, I will be making a reef tank with about 4-6 fish at the most and the rest will be live rock that i made and corals and such.....

Thanks, Kelly:bigsmile:

I like the EcoTech MP-40s. They might be a little much on your tank depending on what corals you want to keep. The nice thing is you can dial them down to suit your system. Might want to try the MP-20s. JMO.

I have a single MP10 in my tank 24x24x20 50g,I am assuming your 45g will be 24x24x18??I have mostly sps and the 1 mp10 is enough IMO.I also turned one of the return nozzles toward the mp10 to get a better spread of flow throughout the tank:)

yeah I have MP40's as well on the 180 love'em but MP's are expensive.
I used 3 Koralia 3's on both my 55 gallons 2 pointed at the surface and one lower pushing the water around my rock work it worked just fine
and didnt break the bank:)

I second the koralia pumps. For the money, they can't be beat. An mp40 would be expensive. You can spend the money you save on livestock.

If money is an issue then yes Id go with the Koralias but if not then the Vortech's just cant be beat.:)
