I am looking at purchasing 2 power heads for my 90g tank and was wondering how big and what brands I should look at?? Now I am looking at 2 Hydor Koralia 1050 Evolution. I have to returns from the sump in each corner. How much flow is to much??

get a pair of tunze adjustables, like the 6055s. Tunzes (and Vortechs) are solid pieces of equipment that are well serviced by the manufacturer. How much flow depends on what you are going to keep in the tank. I have a pile of k4's in the corner of my shop that do not work. Every piece of Tunze equipment I have works (some of it several years old). My Mp40 is rather new, but has functioned flawlessly so far

I only have a frog spawn, ricordia, zoas, finger leather and would like to buy some bright colored corals kinda basic.

i have 2 tunzes 6055 in my 180g and i like them
tunzes or koralias,( mp40 are too loud at full blast) im about to buy a hydor wavemaker with 2 koralias 4 for my 120g new tank
dont get me wrong i like mp40w but in a big tank where you need lot of flow they can be loud

2 mp40's is a little overkill however your could dial them down. If you got the cheese I vote vortechs any day

mp40 is silent after bearing upgrade....Fyi.....I have done tons and I am telling you

Wow not spending 150 plus on a power head. Ill look around a bit on ebay first.

I had an evolution 1050 and it was crap. Always started backwards and now the impeller is shot. I bought a sun sun off of ebay to get me by and I really like it . Im going to order another one. By the way Im not recommending im just telling you my experience with it.

My tunzes all work great, my vortechs, well 2 years old and one needs to be rebuilt and the other is so noisy its been banished to the junk drawer
