That's true but even if that's peak it's designed to handle that load for motor start up. For ac, refrigerator or well pumps. I'm guessing most of us have only 1 maybe 2 circuits powering all our systems. Even if its a 20 amp circuit that's only about 2400 watts max. Unless the pumps and heaters he is trying to run are 220v. Lol lets just hope his power comes back quick

Thanks for all the advice everyone. This is what I've done Powerheads at water level thanks Kyle1284 splashing water. I also removed 2 heaters from the sump and put in tank, temp is 71 I hope it works. Yeah as far as the generator goes its handling the added heaters just fine. I just hope my return pump was not hit with lightning or a power surge and it no go now. I wasn't home when the storm came thru and power went. Crossing my fingers that didn't happen. I will see if things start looking better b4 I try the peroxide. thanks turbo21 for the advice. Yeah all would be alot better if the power came back on. You really don't realize how we take electric for granted, a matter of life or death for somethings.

When sandy hit my power was out for 10 days, and I was unprepared. Lost thousands from that storm ;( again best of luck to you

be sure not to raise the temp to fast. SLOW AND STEADY!! raise it to 73-74 and let it hover there and when the power is restored wait a couple days and raise it a degree or 2. Do this until you reach normal tank temp. your tank has gone through a pretty big swing with temp, prob ORP, and maybe PH?... i would go ahead and get some water ready for a 50% waterchange for after the power is restored.

Power back on. Temp is still on the rise. Yeah I'm going to do a water change today. I still have a few fish I have not seen, I supose their caught between live rock. Hope they don't fowl my water. All perm are OK PH 8.3

That's great to hear. Water change is good remove what's died and keep I eye on the tank for the next few days. Really glad things are better.
