It isn't quite as bad as it sounds. I went to feed fish and corals last night around 8:30-9:00pm. I turned off all powerheads, skimmer, sump. I usually feed for 30min and then turn everything back on, however, on this day my 9yr old niece was over and I was showing her how we do things. Well I got distracted and forgot to turn everything back on. Fast forward until noon today and I just realized it. Heater and lights were on. Everything looks fine except my RBTA that looks mostly deflated and unhappy to say the least. My question is... Do I have anything to worry about or should things be fine? It's a 75gallon mixed reef it's around the 1year mark. It's probably a 60/40 split between lps and sps with sps being the dominant. From first appearance It's only the BTA that looks like something went wrong and the water is a little cloudy otherwise if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't notice. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me so I am just wondering what should I expect or what are your experiences with this? Things were off about 15hrs in total.

Hope for the best...
Probably low o2 due to lack of circulation.
You said the heater was on, in the sump?
If so the temp of your display must have taken quite the drop.

Nope, fortunately I was in the middle of installing new heaters and because I wanted to run the cords nicely I had put the heater in the DT temporarily until I got the time to run everything nicely, like this weekend. That was the one silver lining.

hi,sounds like you dodged a bullet here.. :)

Anemones go downhill quite fast. You shouldn't have to wait long to find out if you're out of the woods or not! Sounds like you lucked out.

You're right about that. I am kicking myself because this morning when I got up I didn't go take a look like I usually do. My niece being here has thrown my routine out of rhythm. Normally i always take a quick look at the tank in the morning just to make sure things are good. On this day I did not. Shame on me! On a good note, because of this happening I just ordered the 3000 watt Honda generator. This has made me realize that I do not want to be screwed if/when the power goes out.

Here is a current picture of the nem. It's looking a little better already. It was completely deflated, now showing some signs of life.

I think you (and your tank) will be ok. In fact, your tank will probably better before you!o_O
