We've lost power a few times over the years of having a SW tank. This was our first time when temps were low. Basically, day time temp of the tank dropped into the mid- high 60's, night time temps (generator running, heater & return pump on) was 72*F. Longest time w/o circulation was 15~ hours, then roughly 16 hours on & 8 hours off (depending on the day), from Sunday morning - Wednesday evening.

Friday & Sunday are my tank testing days, with Saturday being water change day.
Should I do a massive water change or multiple water changes over and above what I normally do?

If it had been above normal tank temps I would have done massive water changes and re-set the tank(s) yesterday, but with temps low I wasn't sure that was necessary.

Tanks include:
2 gallon FW planted - no circulation or heat Sunday eve - Wed eve
3 gallon SW w/lobo, pipe organ, a few zoanthids - no circulation or heat Sunday eve-Wed eve
30 gallon FW planted - no circulation or heat Sunday eve - Monday Morning or Tuesday Morning - Wed Eve
45 Gallon SW - sump, 3 fish + hand full of softies, monti frag & small Alveopora

The alveopora & pipe organ both look terribly unhappy and the lobo looks "miffed". Everything else either opened up or swam around yesterday like usual.

Speaking for the SW only, just bring them back up to temp gradually over a few days. Too fast can shock them. I would guess the possible loss would be the alveopora and pipe organ, the rest should be fine and recover. Do small water changes to get waste (shed, etc) out of system. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the response. Sounds like I am on the right track.
