Power outage lasting more than a day

wow,i sure hope so :(

I HAVE POWER!!!!!!! Thanks again for all your help, everyone :)

Awesome. I left Ft. Lauderdale in 08 because of the hurricanes and the last power outage. I had 1 55 gallon at the time, no generator. I kept it going with my work vehicle, inverter, and extension cord to my wavemaker. The worst part of the whole thing was cold shower, we were electric. The rest I could live with. Glad it worked out

Great news

Not really my place to say, but thanks for being an leading example of what I see this place to be. a great community. Thank you.

How long was did you do that for

How long was did you do that for

Our power was out for just over 4 days. I cannot remember exactly the time line. Memory not so good. It was the year of Irene I think. Me and the wife were in Vegas. We were freaking out because we thought we would be trapped in Vegas during the storm. Ended up Irene had gone past FL into the gulf opening up a window for us to get home, then we got hit with a storm behind that. Our power was our for 4 days. After that we moved to NC. Natural gas hot water and no long power outages so far.

Side note, we were also on boil water. of course we had electric stove. No propane or gas around so we reverted to using our smoker for everything. Don’t every try to boil water using a smoker and hickory wood. It just doesn’t work. Yuk;Nailbiting

Thats insane. But your tank survived.

I worked for progressive at the time. We had Ford Explorers and catastrophe kits. I had 2 inverters and lots of extension cords. Lots of starting and stopping the truck at night luckily my wife would could stay home during the day it worked.

When tanks are bigger in size they have more air then people would think. As air starts to deplete fish may start to elevate towards higher levels as disolved air rises to the surface.
