Power outage. Quick help

Ok quick question.
Power went out I have 2 tanks a 20l and a 75 with 40b sump

No air bubbler what can I do to keep from loosing stock.

They said 3 hours it'll be down..

use a cup every few minutes to keep water moving in dt, (scoop and pour back in)

tomorrow buy a battery powered air pump

Haha. Yea you'd think by how many times I've read crashes due to power loss I'd have done that by now. Thanks

Just make sure to keep water moving. On smaller tanks a UPS to keep the return pump and maybe skimmer working alone might last u a long time.

Any solutions for heat? Not sure if itll be a huge issue but I've noticed a 4 degree drop and I still got 2.5 hours or better....

Glass insulates heat bad, maybe cover the sides with a blanket or something that will keep the heat inside the tank longer... Noob but I'm going off a guess here

Well passed out trying to keep up... power came back on between then and now woke up to loud beeping fire alarm. The return pumped back into tank but wouldn't start a siphon (I have the bean animal overflow) so my heater decided to melt away with no water. House full of smoke. Only 3 fish in there. Lfs don't open for 7 hours no heater... think I'll hang up the towel on the 75 if everything dies.
