so iv lost power and am unsure as to when they will fix then problem. I do have a battery powered air pump running with a stone in it. My question is how long can my 125 last with just this stone?

Depends on inhabitants. Another good way to areate the water is with a large cup or pitcher, scooping and pouring water back into the tank. Don't be gentle either. It'll churn up a little bit of flow while doing this as well. I had to do this for 15 minutes every half hour for about 6-8 hours when we lost power for a hurricane. I had a 90 gallon and no losses.

While I'm no expert but I have heard two hours you are fine but 4 hours is bad. I personally went two hours before and I came out ok. I only have three fish though.

13 fish only one that could be considered large. About 24 pieces of coral none super large. Iv got it on a pretty wide air stone as well.

This^. It's work, but it works!

Too late now but get yourself UPS. Theyre only around $100 and offer surge protection & battery backup. Depends what you run on it - could go for 2-6 hours easily if not more. I personally have 2 of these for my 350g system. Recently we had workers break some line & entire neighborhood lost power for like half hour. They both kicked right away & wouldnt even have known power was out except everything else in the house went off lol:

Nice tank btw. You will be alright. Just do what reefer madness said. I'm assuming it's warm in your area? It's hot as balls here.

Generator is best to have for sure. I currently don't have one, but I do have a power inverter as back up.

Been lucky where we live, never had a long power outage even with the bad storms we get here in Missouri. Knock on wood.

I think you will be fine with that big airstone unless this outage turns out to be days. I also have a power inverter in the event that we have a long outage which is unlikely. We have lived here for 31 years and the longest the power was out was 7 hours.

Yeah wish I had a generator for sure, glad I had the air stone though. Still no estimate on when it will be fixed and it's only my block that lost it and we never lose power. Not super worried about temp it's 79 outside and windy so the house is getting good airflow. I have most of my lids off and the air stone running as wide a string of bubbles I can get it.
