Make hot water and put it in the bottle to keep your tank warm (I assume your power is out due to the ice storm that Michigan and Wisconsin got this morning) your fish and corals will be ok without major flow for a bit. So what you'll want to do is get another plastic container and scoop water up and dump it back in. This will create some flow as well as mix oxygen into the water. You can also use your hand and swirl the water around a bit. Just make sure your hands are clean.
I'm right next door in wisconsin. We got it as well. everything has a nice thick coating of ice on it. Getting to work this morning is going to be fun. But good luck and keep us updatedThank you for the tips! Yes, wonderful Michigan weather[emoji19]

Wanted to check in to see how you're doing @Matthew Hill just lost power here for about 20 minutes.
First of all, glad your power wasn't out that long and everything is ok.
Now that you've experienced what may be your first power outage with a reef tank. Will you be employing or considering employing battery back ups, generators or anything else now?
