Power Outtage - Frogspawn stress

Power was out for about 5 hours while I was at work- temp dropped to 65-70 degrees f. Now I woke up to this ???

It’s a glob growing over one of the two mouths, I can’t tell if the outter skeleton had change to it— or if it’s healthy.

Feeling miserable and hoping it’s not what I keep panicking about.

Did you see the jelly blob in the center ?
I’m sorry if my camera sucks, the center was a light pale green and there’s this ugly purple blob over one mouth now ;;

I can’t see a jelly blob on the pictures. Have you tried lightly basting with a turkey baster?

I couldn’t get another picture because the tentacles are all in the way—- but I outlined it

EDIT::: so I was looking around forums and I Finally found someone with something similar—- And their frogspawn was reproducing and splitting…

I hope that’s the case- my tank is so crazy new I didn’t think that my corals would actually be happy in it.

Mine do this when they’re ready to grow another mouth. Sometimes it takes another 2 months, sometimes it takes a few more days. This guy may have already been on his way to splitting when you got him. At any rate, please don’t worry. He looks pretty healthy to me at this point.

The first year is… as you said… “insanity”. It is getting better I think. But not because it gets easier. I just have a slightly better understanding of why something I may have done was a mistake versus not.
