Power Strip Choices?

Right on thank y’all I also have a gfi outlet to put in place of the regular outlet.

Honestly I went with a power tool designed powerstrip from Lowe's (can't remember the brand off hand), it had more plug-ins and they are spaced further apart. I have found both of these features to be indispensable as there are often devices that have plugs that would hog up 2 to 3 plug in spaces if they were on the standard close together powerstrip and the extra plug ins have proven invaluable as well.
I may have the same one, its about a 3.5' black strip with yellow plugs. I run two of them on my tank because... I love plugs? I think they said not for aquarium use, but I have them wall mounted rather than undertank or on the floor.

Usually use the ones with individual switches but decided to give one of these a try after seeing them in a BRS video.

I like how they display power consumption in wattage and kwh

That’s a nice feature but does it allow you to turn off different equipment individually?

Hey just wanted to pass on that a lot of Surge strips have one Surge device that is shared (MOV), Leviton has one per receptacle

Just got one of these for my Hospital tank with built in timers.
That's pretty cool. I had always used my surge protector with wemo minis for individual timers. They work with Alexa also. I just saw two packs of wemo minis on sale at Costco as well

That's the one. I think it might be a Stanley as the color scheme fits. Solid as a brick. I do run mine under my tank on a ledge behind my sump, but it seems to work well with no issues. *EDIT*

I think this is the one:

American DJ PC-100A

Exact same thing I use. Its fantastic. I did use aquarium sealant to close up all of the seams. I also put those clear outlet child safety things on all of the unused outlets then sealed those with aquarium sealant. Best power management purchase I have made.

With the American DJ power switch, it shows it has a 15 amp circuit breaker. I ran a dedicated 20amp gfci circuit for my aquarium I’m setting up and the water station I built. Do you think the American DJ will continually trip if plugged into the 20amp outlet or will it only trip if it begins to draw over the 15amp?

I have run 2 - 150 watt eheim heaters, 4-120 mm arctic f12 computer case fans on 2 different temperature controllers, 3 hydor koralia ph's, bubble magus skimmer, 2 chinese black boxes, 700 gph return pump, and a par 38 refugium bulb on a single American dj prod. Yes, fire hazard waiting to happen. It was temporary. But, the power strip handled it like a champ. No issues at all. Keep in mind all of that wasnt running at one time. I keep my house at 76. My heaters are staggered at 74 and 80 fans only come on at 81 or higher (they have never come on), the leds are on during the day and when they shut off the par 38 in the sump comes on and when the par 38 turns off the less come on.
