I need advice on selecting a power strip. I will need at least 8 outlets for my 28 HQI. I have been looking at some of the programmable strips (Coralife) for controlling daylight and moonlight on/off times. Problems is, these strips use two outlets for daylight and two outlets for night. I only need one for each. The ability to use a timer for lighting is a nice feature but not my main interest. I want to keep this simple. I can't ramp my HQI up and down in wattage so I don't need a reef keeper lite. What are you fellow JBJ owners using ?

+1 on the DJ strips if you're not wanting a full controller. I too used them pre-Apex purchase. Actually I still use one for cabinet related items not needing any type of control.

I have the coralife power center like the op describes and I absolutely hate it. Anytime the power goes out I loose all settings including the clock. Since every day of the week has to be programmed for its quite a pain
