looking for advice on location for my power strips for controller digatal aqutics I would like to have them on the sump side on reefer 525. it would be so much cleaner if located there about a foot above the sump. Is this a good idea or not also worried about salt creep. do you think this is whys.

If it were me, I'd try mounting the power strip as far away as possible, just in case. But, assuming there's no issues with a skimmer running afoul, or anything out of the ordinary, you should be fine. I'm just overly paranoid about water+electricity.

Have a look at @Broadfield 's set up and how he's done his, it does take up the entire right side of the cabinet but no water issues. You could also add a shelf above the sump as well for extra storage or a barrier against any splashing if you did decide to add the power strip in that location.

You can also find extra large cable runs and cover the entire bar with them, it would be costly but it would strongly limit the amount of splash and exposure to moisture.

Almost anything that can rust, will rust (in time) located above the sump like that. You need to move it (or replace it every 6 to 12 months).

I have my power strips a far away from tank as possible.. one little splash of water or salt creep building up over time can spell disaster

Correct over time anything under the stand will start to rust.
But I had no choice with my apex, yet 7 years strong and still running as the day it was installed but just in case I bought a backup apex.
Did programmed the thing and stuck it back in the box.
Just figure your whole tank is basictly depending on your controller, can’t go without it once you have one.
