I have a 32g tank with soft corals and a moderate amount of fish. My power is more than likely going to go out in the coming days due to a tropical storm. What do you guys recommend for a battery backup?

I have a Red Sea Reef Wave gyre pump and a cheap AC pump for my return pump. I could also get some battery powered air pumps but i’d rather have the main pumps going. Another idea I had was a large power bank but these are expensive…I wouldn’t do this unless someone had good success using one for more than 1-2 days.

If you’re talking days best and only real option is generator. You can get good pure-sine ones now for around 600.

what
No that’s a battery. If you wanted to go that route you would need two and to charge one off a generator while the other was putting in the work.
about dosing hydrogen peroxide every so often?

Or one of these and add car batteries, by the pair, to extend runtime. Mine has 4 100Ah agm batteries and has ran entire tank( about 700-900w load) for 16-18 hours multiple times. After that generator comes out, 12 days is my record for no power. Nothing died.
